What Does True Government Transformation Look Like? Transformation is about an organization or program moving from one state of being to another. It implies a significant and disruptive change that is necessary when an organization shifts its mission, realigns resources, or changes the way work is done. We don’t all quite know yet what is in all the agency transformation plans mandated by OMB Memorandum 17-22. There may be some bold ideas and some also-ran ideas that perhaps have great optics, but may show little true results. So far, I have heard hints of transitioning some programs to other agencies, reducing some identified duplication, shared service implementations, and a few program reductions. Some agencies have begun offering early-outs, others allowing attrition to address workforce reductions, and still other agencies indicating there will be no workforce changes. Global South scholars are missing from European and US journals. What can be done about it South-based scholars are often not part of major debates and conversations in their field. This points to a severe imbalance in the production of new knowledge. Studies have shown that scholars in the global South are under represented in top international peer-reviewed social and medical sciences journals. The global South refers to African, Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern countries who are also members of the Group of 77 . The intergovernmental organisation of mainly developing countries is used to identify countries in the South. The global North includes the Group of 8 and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council . I t's school time again! And I have 'not got much time to evaluate pre-primary school for my daughter's admission due to work pressure and Delhi winter vacation. It is firm opinion that early childhood learning through play school or formal early elementary school provide a foundation for learning both academically and socially that will help the child to groom and succeed in their elementary school. These early elementary school promotes language, cognitive skills, social and emotional development. We always dream of getting our children placed in good schools but it is a daunting task. It has been very painful process filling out applications and spends days to visit school.
